Achievements of the SEED Project / Jordan (2016 – 2022)
This 18-minute video reviews the most prominent achievements of the SEED Project from its establishment in 2016 until the end of its sixth year (2022). SEED Entrepreneurial Farm
The SEED Entrepreneurial Farm embodies the spirit of innovation and integration within the SEED Initiative’s Innovation Program. This farm serves as a foundational pillar that brings together several critical elements, such as gender equality, resilience to the effects of climate change, energy efficiency and renewable energy, food security, and business entrepreneurship.
In this video, we showcase how the farm contributes to advancing sustainable development by combining the latest technologies and advanced environmental solutions with support for local communities and pioneering farmers. Training and Employment Linkages
These interviews and videos capture moments when the SEED Project brought together trainees during the job fair organized by the initiative. Training and Employment in the SEED Project

Volunteer Appreciation Day
The SEED Project celebrates active community engagement by honoring more than 500 volunteers from Der Alla and Ajloun. This video expresses gratitude for the vital role that volunteers play in supporting the initiative and achieving its successes, while highlighting their efforts that contribute to promoting sustainable development in local communities.
International Women’s Day
The SEED Initiative places special focus on gender issues, with all its activities centered on empowering women in marginalized and impoverished communities. This video honors International Women’s Day, celebrating and thanking the female beneficiaries and partners for their valuable contributions in supporting the initiative and achieving its successes.
Campaign to Replace Traditional Lights with Energy-Saving LEDs
As part of the SEED Initiative’s activities, 24,523 conventional bulbs were replaced with energy-saving LED lights in homes. To achieve this, SEED formed local teams—mostly led by women, particularly female Energy Ambassadors. Each team consists of a driver, a technician, several volunteers, and a team leader. This video shows the launch of one of the home lighting replacement campaigns, underscoring the initiative’s role in enhancing energy efficiency and fostering environmental sustainability in local communities.
Nidaa – The Story of a Trained and Employed Young Woman
Nidaa participated in the SEED Initiative’s vocational training program, which focused on installing solar water heaters (SWH). After successfully completing the training, she was able to join a team of solar water heater installation contractors and contributed effectively to installing these systems in homes across Ajloun.
Nidaa’s story is a living example of how hands-on training can create job opportunities and empower women in the renewable energy sector. Her experience reflects SEED’s commitment to supporting local talent and providing promising career paths that help achieve energy and environmental transformation in Jordan.
Graduation Ceremony and Distribution of Toolkits
This video showcases the graduation ceremony of one of the training courses in energy efficiency and renewable energy provided by the SEED Initiative. During the ceremony, successful participants were honored by distributing toolkits, enabling them to start freelance work immediately without worrying about purchasing or renting the necessary tools. This initiative reflects SEED’s commitment to supporting local talents and empowering graduates to embark on promising careers in the renewable energy sector.
A Young Girl Explains the Principles of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy
The SEED Initiative’s activities focus on raising awareness of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions in local communities. Awareness sessions in schools are one of the most effective tools, as students help convey the knowledge to their families. SEED Initiative Internship Program
In collaboration with the Jordan Engineers Association, the SEED Project has taken significant steps to provide internship opportunities for Jordanian engineers, with a special focus on empowering women in the engineering field. In Jordan’s renewable energy and energy efficiency sector, over 500 engineers have had the opportunity to undertake six-month internships at prominent Jordanian companies operating in this field.
This program has contributed to enhancing professional growth and gaining practical experience for the interns, and it has played a vital role in closing the gender gap in the engineering sector, reflecting the project’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment.
Job Fair in Ajloun
This video showcases the highlights from the job fair organized by the SEED Initiative in Ajloun. This event is part of the initiative’s efforts to connect trainees with suitable employment opportunities, as it contributed to providing direct employment links for individuals who received specialized training over the past years. Announcement of Solar Farms in Der Alla and the Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding

President of the Cities and Villages Development Bank
Usama Azzam heads the Cities and Villages Development Bank (CVDB), one of the SEED Initiative’s key partners. The bank contributed by providing additional financing to the beneficiary municipalities for the solar farms delivered by the project, thereby reinforcing efforts to achieve the energy transition and sustainable development in Jordan.
